Inter and Milan among Outfits Monitoring Genk Colossus

Paul Onuachu is putting up eye-catching numbers at Genk, and a few big teams have begun tracking him. The striker has voiced his desire to leave the club, which could drum up a bidding war in January. Atletico Madrid have been following him extensively, and also Inter and Milan have taken an interest, Tuttomercatoweb reports.

The 27-year-old has bagged nine goals in the first nine fixtures in Jupiler League thus far. He has hit the net every 71 minutes. He has found the target 11 times in 14 appearances considering every competition. Last season, his second at Genk, he finished with 35 goals in 41 matches.

Due to his massive size, Onuachu has drawn comparisons with his compatriot Nwankwo Kanu. On top of that, he has displayed a superb nose for the goal and decent mobility. The Colchoneros have been after him for a couple of months, Marca informs. Milan and Inter scouted him more recently, and the reports have been very positive, the Italian site adds.

Genk did not want to part ways with him in the summer and set a €30M price tag to scare away the suitors. The Belgian side lost in the Champions League playoff, and the striker would like to move to a side that plays in it. The situation will likely lower his evaluation. Inter are searching for a center-forward with his traits to back up Edin Dzeko. Instead, Milan could consider making an addition to their attack if Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Olivier Giroud continued to struggle to stay healthy.
