Inter, Barcelona and Tottenham Eyeing Torino Wing-back

Torino wing-back Wilfried Singo hasn’t been at his best so far this season, but that hasn’t pushed away his suitors. The Granata refused to negotiate his sale in the summer, as they had already endured multiple costly departures. But the scenario might change in January or, more likely, in the summer.

As per TuttoSport, the Ivorian defender is under contract until 2024, and an extension is unlikely. The club will seek to avoid replicating what happened with Andrea Belotti. The former captain saw out his deal, and they lost him for nothing.

Torino signed Singo for just €200k when he was 18. The profit will be massive even if his valuation isn’t at its all-time high. Antonio Conte and Tottenham tracked him last summer, but the Serie A side shut the door. The Spurs purchased Died Spence from Middlesbrough instead, and he has barely featured so far.

According to the Italian publication, Inter have shortlisted the 21-year-old especially if they decided to cash in on Denzel Dumfries. Barcelona are also interested as a they missed out on Cesar Azpilicueta, Spanish outlet Sport informs. Hector Bellerin and Sergi Roberto have been unconvincing, and their contracts expire in 2023. Xavi has had to come up with makeshift solutions in the role. They are searching for a youngster with a low salary.

Our Take on Singo Potentially Leaving Torino

He’s not super consistent, but he’s still very young and has a ton of upside. He’s tailor-made to play as a wing-back, so Tottenham and Inter would be logical landing spots. The Nerazzurri loaned Valentino Lazaro to Torino, and he has actually been okay. A swap with some cash thrown in would be easy to arrange, even with Dumfries still on the roster.
