Inter Bring In the Agent of Coach Inzaghi for a Meeting

Inter had to restart the negotiation to renew the contract of Simone Inzaghi following the ownership change, but there isn’t any surprise on the horizon. The parties are negotiating the numbers and the length of the new deal, but the outcome will be the widely-expected one, Sky reports.

The Nerazzurri host his agent Tullio Tinti for a summit on Thursday. He joked afterward.

“In my mind, Inzaghi will stay at Inter until 2037. It’ll be a ten-year extension! We need to work on it, but everybody is on the same page. I always think positively. We haven’t set a timetable, and we’ll meet again. They just had a takeover, so they have to adjust internally.”

The brass and the representative are discussing a three-year year with wages that would exceed the €6M threshold. That would add two seasons to his current one. They need to iron out add-ons and potential exit clauses. The Nerazzurri will continue to be financially sustainable in their new era.

Tinti represents also Emil Audero and Simone Bastoni.

“They have until June 14th to exercise the option to keep the former after a loan. We’ll see. The defender has four more years on his contract, and their jersey is like a second skin to him.”

According to Tuttomercatoweb, Inzaghi didn’t attend the rendezvous, as his rapport with the Inter brass is already solid enough. He’d like to have a bigger say on the transfer market and especially keep all their stars this summer.
