Inter CEO Marotta Provides Definitive Date to End Skriniar Saga

Inter director Beppe Marotta has announced a date by which he wishes to resolve Milan Skriniar’s contract renewal saga with the Nerazzurri. The Slovak defender has been the subject of much debate surrounding his future, but Marotta wants to put an end to all the chatter as soon as possible.

Speaking to Sky Sport (via FCInterNews) before the clash against Bayern Munich, the ex-Sampdoria and Juventus executive shed light on how negotiations are progressing with Skriniar and his entourage.

“For Skriniar, whose value is superlative both on and off the pitch, I hope so much and I am very optimistic for a conclusion of the negotiation by November 13. There are positive conditions for saying this.”

The first round of talks were already held by the two parties in the previous week.

The center-back was targeted heavily by Paris Saint-Germain in the previous transfer windows but Inter look motivated to keep hold of their star defender despite lingering interest from the Parisians. A contract renewal will all but end PSG’s hopes of bolstering their backline with the Slovakian’s prowess.
