Inter Closing In on Three Exits to Trim Their Squad

Inter could soon have a few extra million in their pockets as they are in advanced talks to sell Martin Satriano and Lucien Agoumé. They are inching closer to permanent moves to the teams that had them on loan last season, Brest and Sevilla, La Gazzetta dello Sport informs.

The Nerazzurri and the Ligue 1 side have struck a deal for €6M. They hope the youngster will accept the move even if he perhaps hoped for more prestigious destinations. He has tallied 10 goals and 4 assists in 54 matches in France in two separate stints. Instead, he spent a season at Empoli in Serie A, failing to impress.

Like Satriano, Agoumé has found more success abroad than at Inter or in Italy in general. He was a regular at Sevilla from January onwards. The Nerazzurri acquired him from Sochaux for €4.5M back in 2019. He never broke through with them and transferred temporarily to Spezia, Brest, and Troyes in the ensuing campaigns. He’s about to leave for good for €2M.

The Italian champions are working on more exits before going on the offensive for Albert Gudmundsson. Valentin Carboni is very close to Olympique Marseille. The fee for the loan will be €2M, while the option to buy will amount to €36/40M. They’ll be able to bring him back for slightly more. The talks with Lazio for Joaquin Correa aren’t progressing. River Plate and AEK Athens moved on after initial approaches.

Rather than the two forwards, Satriano, and Agoumé, the key departure of Inter to unlock an addition is Marko Arnautovic. Trabzonspor poked around but things didn’t get past that.
