Inter Contemplating Just a Pair of Moves for January

Inter exec Piero Ausilio stated that they didn’t like the January window but they’d pay attention to the potential opportunities that could emerge and perhaps loan out a couple of players.

According to Calciomercato, the Nerazzurri won’t spend much but are open to a pair of additions. Mehdi Taremi is top of the list for either the winter, should Porto settle for a small fee, or next June on a Bosman move. They’ll accelerate if Alexis Sanchez departs. He’s receiving interest from Saudi Arabia.

The other name in the Inter crosshairs for January is Tiago Djaló, who’s in the same spot as Taremi. Lille could be more lenient in this case. The Nerazzurri believe to have him in the bag for a free addition at the end of the season.

If they acquired a defender, Yann Aurel Bisseck would be loaned out to gain more experience. Lucien Agoumé stayed put for lack of suitors last summer. The club will try to offload him again as he has played just four minutes.

Our Take on Inter and January

They will likely end up not doing anything, but a veteran defender wouldn’t hurt. Djaló is more established than Bisseck but he’d still need time since he’s coming off a major injury. They are very confident about Taremi joining, but their attack will likely remain the same in the next window, and they’ll have to tussle with a few sides to get him gratis.
