Inter have denied any loan agreement being struck for Jordi Alba, as it was earlier reported by journalist Gerard Romero. This is according to renowned Spanish outlet AS, who contacted Nerazzurri sources in order to receive information that no advances have taken place between the two parties for the veteran fullback.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Alba was offered on loan to Inter, with 60% of his salary being agreed to be paid by the Blaugrana. However, the Nerazzurri are least interested in onboarding the 33-year-old defender. The report also mentions that the deal would have made sense if Robin Gosens found an exit from the club’s ranks. Bayer Leverkusen didn’t advance beyond their loan offer, and a deal never materialized.

Jordi Alba is reportedly looking for a way out of Barcelona, and Inter are one of the first teams to have been linked with his services. However, the Nerazzurri will not be moving forward. Moreover, the Spaniard himself is not keen on moving to Stadio Giuseppe Meazza.
Our Take on Alba Links with Inter
The 33-year-old is a shadow of the player he used to be during his heyday. Despite him possessing the pace and stamina to function at the highest level, he is not the wisest transfer decision the Nerazzurri can take at the moment.
