Inter Earmark PSG Left-Back as Moenchengladbach Push Back

Inter have laid their eyes on Ramy Bensebaini, but it will be difficult to convince Borussia Moenchengladbach to sell him in January. Finding a new left wing-back seems to have become the top priority for the Nerazzuri. They are keeping tabs on multiple options for the role.

According to FC Inter News, Moenchengladbach will not allow the 26-year-old to leave on loan. The Italian side would have to table a substantial offer to acquire him. It is not out of the realms of possibilities that Bensebaini will depart in 2022 as he has just 18 months left on his contract. But his club would look to properly cash in on him if they took that route. The sale of Algerian international could fetch €20M next summer.

Instead, Inter want to take a flier on somebody for six months, at most adding an option to buy. They are after Lucas Digne, but other teams could easily outbid them. In particular Newcastle, which offered €25M to Everton, the Daily Express reports. In addition, the Toffees are putting up resistance even though he clashed with Rafa Benitez, and they have already found his replacement.

Rather than the Moenchengladbach and the Everton fullbacks, Layvin Kurzawa could emerge as a more achievable option for Inter, La Gazzetta dello Sport reports. The Frenchman is easier to sign than the alternatives since PSG are eager to offload him. Lazio opened talks to acquire him, but they are having trouble reaching agreement on how to split his considerable wages.
