Inter Edge Juventus in Race to Sign Torino Stopper Gleison Bremer

Although the Nerazzurri were relentless within the winter transfer market this season as they acquired Robin Gosens and Felipe Caicedo, Inter seem eager to continue their pursuit in rebuilding the squad as they enter pole-position in possibly obtaining Gleison Bremer next season.

Just yesterday, it was announced that the Brazilian stopper has extended his stay with Torino until the summer of 2024. However, it seems the new contract offer might not prevent the star stopper from departing I Granata at the end of this year’s campaign.

According to Italian sports newspaper Corriere dello Sport (via Sempre Inter), the contract was signed as a tool in order to ensure that Torino would obtain a reasonable transfer fee in the event that the 24 year-old central defender decides to head towards the exit door this summer.

As it stands, Inter have already set a verbal agreement with the promising stopper, allowing them to lead the race in securing the young Brazilian over bitter rivals Juventus.

So far this season, the 24 year-old pillar has played a vital role for Torino as he made a total of 19 appearances for I Granata throghout the Serie A campaign.

With the likes of Andrea Ranocchia and Danilo D’Ambrosio possibly leaving the Beneamata this summer, the club officials firmly believe that the promising defender can play pivotal role within Inter’s back three through his great physicality, his brilliant ability to play out of the back, and his immense amount of pace.
