Inter Eye Ex-Torino and Switzerland Veteran to Replace Buchanan

In search for a new club since leaving Torino, Switzerland veteran Ricardo Rodriguez has fallen onto the radar of Serie A champions Inter. The center-back’s contract with the Granata expired at the end of June.

According to latest reports from Sky Italia, Rodriguez is the latest idea for the Nerazzurri defense. The Scudetto holders have already shortlisted few names to replace the injured Tajon Buchanan, including Atletico Madrid’s Mario Hermoso & Arsenal’s Jakub Kiwior.

Buchanan is laid off for the next four months, at the least, and the ex-Milan defender is the latest name to join the Inter transfer bandwagon.

Rodriguez enjoyed a four-season spell in Turin, wherein he made 129 appearances after joining from PSV where he was on loan. The 1992-born defender spent three-and-a-half seasons at AC Milan before joining Torino permanently.

Our Take on Rodriguez to Inter

The Swiss international have proven reliable, as seen during Switzerland’s run at the UEFA Euro 2024 quarter-finals. As someone who excels in a back three set-up and on the left flank, Rodriguez can definitely add value to Simone Inzaghi’s team.
