The dissatisfaction of Matias Vecino could change the Inter plans for January. The Nerazzurri wished to stand pat but will substitute anybody that leaves. They suspect Matias Vecino has received a good offer for the next window, not just for the summer of 2022 when he will be out of contract, La Gazzetta dello Sport reports.
Napoli are the main suspects as Luciano Spalletti is a fan of the Uruguayan international. Moreover, the Partenopei will have to replace André-Franck Zambo Anguissa in January due to the African Cup of Nations. Vecino has also been linked to Roma, which are looking for somebody in the role.
Inter might replace him with a compatriot as Nahitan Nandez has remained on their radar after their July pursuit. His agent claimed that Cagliari would let him go in January given their struggles. While the two sides could engineer a favorable formula, his price tag is pretty lofty, around €25M.
Nandez would also give the Nerazzurri an immediate alternative to Matteo Darmian on the right flank, given the slow adaptation of Denzel Dumfries to Italian football. However, that is not necessarily a priority since the Inter management still believes in the potential of the Dutchman.
On top of Vecino, also Roberto Gagliardini is not thrilled with his current situation, Calciomercato.com reports. He could ask out if another team promised him a more prominent role. It will not be easy, though, because it will take a €10M fee and €3M wages to sign him away from Inter.
