Inter Facing Some Obstacles in Chase of Juventus Wantaway

Inter will be among the contenders to capture Paulo Dybala, but their pursuit will not be easy. The entourage of the attacker will open talks with multiple teams in the next few weeks. The Nerazzurri are unlikely to match his previous demands on wages, Sky Sport reports.

La Joya aimed to get €10M per season, including add-ons, from Juventus. While the Bianconeri had initially agreed to the request, they changed their mind afterward. Dybala would have to settle for less money to join Inter, as nobody earns that much in their roster. Stars Lautaro Martinez and Marcelo Brozovic recently extended their contracts, getting €6M annual salaries.

The Nerazzurri will probably significantly reduce their payroll by partying ways with Alexis Sanchez and Arturo Vidal in the summer. The Argentinian attacker could at most get as much as the Chilean duo, around €7M per year. The move would be a way to sting the Old Lady, but other sides will likely offer more. His agent Jorge Antun just applied to get the license to operate in Spain. He will touch base with Atletico Madrid and Barcelona, with which he already engaged in the past.

Inter will also face competition for Dybala from Tottenham, which came close to signing him a couple of years ago. The presence of Fabio Paratici and Antonio Conte could help out the Spurs. Moreover, the Nerazzurri were keener to add a physical center-forward, such as Gianluca Scamacca or Sebastian Haller, rather than a second striker before this opportunity arose.
