Inter Finally Confirm New Contract for Coach Inzaghi

Inter and Simone Inzaghi have put pen to paper on an extension. As they did in previous summers, they added a year to the manager’s deal, which now lasts until 2026. Club president Giuseppe Marotta and the manager held a presser to formally kick off the season. The exec took the floor first (via Sky).

“We still have the celebrations in the streets of Milan in our eyes. We begin a new journey together, with the Scudetto and the silver star on our jersey. Inzaghi will officially be our coach until 2026, and hopefully further. He picked up the attachment and values of this club.”

The coach will see his salary rise from €5.5M to €6.5M, becoming the highest-paid manager in Serie A. The parties agreed to a sizeable bonus in case of another title victory in the next two years, Fabrizio Romano informs (via Fanpage).

“I’m very happy and thank the front office, the president, and the execs. I feel at home and appreciated here. That’s what matters the most. We’ve never been distant in these last few months. Our goal is to make our fans happy and repeat.”
