The race to sign Davide Frattesi has likely reached its finish line, as Inter struck a verbal agreement with Sassuolo on the fee and the formula. There are a few moving parts in the deal, but the Nerazzurri aim to seal it in the next day or two, Gianluca Di Marzio reports.
If no team interferes, the midfielder will transfer on loan with a €25M obligation to buy. He’ll earn €2.5M annually. The Neroverdi will get budding striker Samuele Mulattieri. He has a €8M price tag.
Inter re-accelerated for Frattesi shortly after selling Marcelo Brozovic to Al-Nassr. Milan met with Sassuolo Tuesday but could only attest that their crosstown rivals had an insurmountable lead. Napoli reached out to the entourage of the player, but his will had long been clear.

The Emilian side will soon meet with the entourage of Mulattieri to iron out the contract, while La Benamata will do the same with the agent of the 23-year-old.

It’s a very strong fit, and the good news for the Nerazzurri is that the formula is advantageous and the disbursement isn’t too hefty. Therefore, they didn’t need to wait for further sales. If those terms are the terms, the interest and determination of other clubs have been grossly exaggerated.
