Inter Focusing on Future Free Agents, Arsenal Goalie Not a Priority

Bernd Leno has been linked to Inter recently because he lost the starting job to Aaron Ramsdale. However, the Nerazzurri do not seem to be too keen on the Arsenal goalkeeper. The Italian side is likely to move on from Samir Handanovic at the end of the season. They have zeroed in on André Onana to replace him, Tuttosport reports.

Leno addressed the rumors to Bild: “London is a very nice city, but Milan is okay too, and it is closer to my hometown Stuttgart. But I do not know anything yet, and I am fine at Arsenal. If my situation did not change during the Winter, I would have to consider my options.”

Rather than on the German international, Inter are working to sign Onana. The fact that he could join for free gives him a clear advantage. His contract with Ajax is up in 2022. Despite the competition coming from Lyon, Napoli and Barcelona, the Nerazzurri are confident they could secure his signature early next year. The Dutch club has already announced that the goalkeeper will not extend his deal.

Inter are keeping tabs on Matthias Ginter too, who will also be a free agent in a few months. They have been following him for some time, but his price tag has always been high. The defender revealed that he has yet to receive an offer to prolong his contract from Borussia Moenchengladbach. The Beneamata reached out to his agent to verify his availability about a possible move to Serie A, Bild informs.
