Inter & France Star Escapes Serious Injury As Tests Show No Ligament Damage

Talismanic Inter forward Marcus Thuram underwent detailed checks on his right ankle after his match-winning performance against Torino. The France international nearly single-handedly toppled the Granata, notching up his first Serie A hat-trick in Nerazzurri’s dramatic 3-2 home win on Saturday.

Didier Deschamps has handed the Inter star another international call-up as Les Bleus face Israel and Belgium in the upcoming UEFA Nations League fixtures. Thuram has excelled in the early Serie A season, establishing himself as Inter’s leading figure amid Lautaro Martinez’s stuttering start.

With seven goals, he’s the division’s joint-top goalscorer alongside Atalanta’s Mateo Retegui. But despite Thuram’s superb scoring exploits, Inter headed into October’s international break in second, two points below Antonio Conte’s high-flying Napoli side.
