Inter Furious at Al-Nassr Transfer Fee Backtrack for Brozovic

In what initially seemed like an imminent deal from Al-Nassr for Marcelo Brozovic, has now been frozen due to the Saudi club asking to change the terms of conditions. It was reported earlier that the Inter and Al-Nassr have concretely come to an agreement, but there are still financial details left to be negotiated.

Brozovic accepted Al-Nassr’s offer earlier in the week, but the Saudi club have not been able to strike a cordial deal with the Nerazzurri when it comes to the transfer tag.

The Croatian midfield ace was initially supposed to move for €23M, but Al-Nassr have reportedly reduced their offer to €17M including add-ons – this includes €13M as an upfront fee plus €4M as bonuses. This arrives as a welcome sign for Barcelona, who have long been interested in Brozovic. However, a move to Spain is unlikely to materialize.

According to his three-year Al-Nassr contract at valid until 2026, Brozovic will earn €25M net per season in Riyadh, pocketing a total of €100M, including the signing-on bonus of €25M. The 30-year-old is supposed to undergo his medical examination on Friday, as expected.

Inter are unhappy with the Saudi club’s sudden backtrack in transfer fees. The deal for Brozovic is currently on hold, and an answer is expected from the Nerazzurri end within 48 hours.
