Inter Gain Pace in Bid to Sign Canada Prodigy Buchanan

Inter have accelerated their efforts to sign Canada international Tajon Buchanan, having long identified him as a potential target. The Club Brugge midfielder has excelled in Belgium since signing from New England Revolution last year, and could soon see himself playing in the Nerazzurri colors.

According to The Athletic, sources close to the player indicate that talks have gained pace between the two parties for a summer transfer, although no deal is done just yet.

Inter are expected to shell a transfer fee north of the €15M mark, potentially making Buchanan the third most expensive Canadian player, behind Jonathan David and Alphonso Davies.

Having won the Belgian Pro League title in his maiden season in Europe, the versatile midfielder, who broke out into the limelight following the 2022 FIFA World Cup, could have a starring role at the Stadio Meazza next season if a move materializes. He is expected to succeed Dutch wingback Denzel Dumfries on the right flank for Inter.
