Inter Have Different Future Plans for Touted Brothers

Sebastiano and Francesco Pio Esposito have both had promising starts in the latest loan spells, at Empoli and Spezia respectively, but their future prospects at Inter are starkly diverse. The younger brother might eventually make his way to San Siro, while that’s unlikely for the 22-year-old.

According to Tuttomercatoweb, the Tuscan side will probably buy him out for €5M if he keeps it up. They’d then flip him to a bigger side quickly for a profit, as they did with Guglielmo Vicario. After a few good showings, he bagged his first goal versus Cagliari.

The contracts of the Esposito duo last until 2025, but only Francesco Pio is likely to get a renewal from Inter. Sebastiano has starred for a few different sides already: SPAL, Basel, Anderlecht, Bari, and Sampdoria. An extension would set the stage for another loan. He and his entourage aren’t interested in that. He has agreed to a four-year pre-contract with Empoli should he get redeemed.

Instead, the Nerazzurri are high on the 19-year-old, who has already hit the net thrice. Per Il Secolo XIX (via Tribuna), they want to have him in their squad sooner rather than later. It could happen next season already if he has a strong season. Moreover, Luciano Spalletti is also keeping an eye on him for the Azzurri.
