Inter Holding Midfielder Brozovic Eyeing Derby D’Italia Return

With the Nerazzurri receiving multiple injury boosts over the past couple of days as attacking pair Joaquin Correa and Romelu Lukaku have returned to training with the first team, Inter holding midfielder Marcelo Brozovic is also nearing recovery.

After sustaining a thigh injury during the international break while playing with the Croatian national team, the 29 year-old was held at bay for the last three fixtures within the league, forcing Inzaghi to play Hakan Calhanoglu within his defensive midfielder role on the pitch.

However, the Croat is recovering very well off the pitch and seems to be able to feature in the World Cup within less than a month’s time, providing La Benemata with additional depth throughout a difficult stage of the season.

According to reports from Italian news outlet Calciomercato, the deep-lying playmaker is eyeing to resume action with Inzaghi’s squad on the 6th of November, where Inter are set to face bitter-rivals Juventus in the Derby D’Italia.
