Inter Hunt Lille Prodigy to Replace PSG-Linked Skriniar

With links to PSG getting stronger by the minute for exit-bound Milan Skriniar, Inter are on the hunt for reinforcements to bolster the squad. The management has failed to jot Skriniar down to a contract extension, meaning he is now free to leave on a bosman transfer. It undoubtedly delivers a mammoth blow to Inter’s strategy, as they could have sold him for a whopping €60-70M last window.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Lille defender Tiago Djalo is leading the Nerazzurri wishlist for a move to replace the veteran Slovak stopper. The 22-year-old was close to a move last summer, but Inter went haywire in their hunt for a center-back, losing Gleison Bremer in the process to Juventus.

Djalo spent six months at Milan Primavera between January and July 2019, under former Rossoneri coach Marco Giampaolo. However, he appeared just once for the senior side as a substitute in a friendly against Novara, before being offloaded for €4M to Lille.

Atalanta prodigy Giorgio Scalvini is also on the Nerazzurri wishlist, but his €50M valuation is double of what Inter need to part ways with to sign Djalo. Torino’s Perr Schuurs is another name linked to arrive at the Meazza.

For the moment, Skriniar will hold onto the captain’s armband, setting aside any probability of dressing room tensions at a delicate moment in the season.
