Inter icon Marco Materazzi has once again commented on the free transfer of Milan Skriniar to Paris Saint-Germain. Earlier in the year, Materazzi echoed how difficult it would be in Paris for the Slovak stopper to feel the same affection and passion the Interisti show him.
Speaking to Canal+ in an exclusive interview, the former defender reverberated his opinion.
“In Skriniar’s place, I would have stayed. I said it publicly before: ‘Remember how Inter fans loved you, I don’t know if you will be loved like this in Paris, even if I hope so.”
Materazzi then gave Skriniar the example of Lionel Messi, who has been booed by the Parc des Princes on several different occasions this season.
“Just see what’s going on with Messi, who is one of the best players in history.”

Skriniar will leave the Nerazzurri after more than 250 appearances accumulated at the club over the span of six seasons. He has one Scudetto and Coppa Italia to his name, alongside a brace of Supercoppa Italiana titles.
