Inter Identify Bayern Munich Outcast as Primary Target

According to today’s print edition of Tuttosport, Inter are keeping close tabs on Corentin Tolisso, the Bayern Munich outcast who is apparently not part of the Bavarians’ plans under Julian Naglesmann for the 2021/22 season and beyond.

Bayern were keen to get rid of Tolisso in the transfer window that just expired but no concrete offers were put forth for the French midfielder. It was even reported by Calciomercato that he was offered to Roma as he fit the profile of an experienced midfielder as demanded by Mourinho.

Die Roten are unlikely to offer a new contract deal for him, with his actual contract expiring at the end of the current season.

Next summer, the Nerazzurri are expected to move first for the World Cup winner. However, he may also possibly sign a pre-contract agreement in January as players are allowed to do so, given the short tenure of their existing contract.

Tolisso’s injury record for the past three seasons have been instrumental in him being pushed further down the pecking order. He is behind Leon Goretzka, Joshua Kimmich and Marcel Sabitzer for a central midfield role in Bayern’s ranks.

The versatile 27-year-old is admired in Milan and a free transfer looms on the horizon at the end of the current season.
