Inter Identify Bundesliga’s Dutch Poacher as No.9 Option

Inter are looking to continue life after Romelu Lukaku, after the Belgian ace left for Chelsea in a high profile transfer move that witnessed much disappointment from the Nerazzurri faithful. With him gone, Atalanta’s Duvan Zapata, Fiorentina’s Dusan Vlahovic, Lazio’s Joaquin Correa and as recently reported Real Madrid’s Luka Jovic have been kept tabs upon, but another target has emerged for Inter.

Wolfsburg marksman Wout Weghorst is being pondered for a move to Milan, according to Gianluca Di Marzio. The 1992-born Dutch striker will come relatively cheap when compared to the aforementioned linked names and this serves as a huge incentive for the Nerazzurri, who will be tapping upon one of Bundesliga’s most exciting strikers in recent seasons.

He has a transfermarkt value of €30m but any offer in the range of €15-20m will be heard by Wolfsburg.

Weghorst moved from AZ Alkmaar in 2018 and his contract with Die Wolfe is valid until June 2023.

Known for his poaching style of play, the tall centre-forward could perfectly replace Lukaku by pairing up with Lautaro Martinez who looks set to stay with Inter.
