Inter Identify Torino Defender as Potential Summer Target

Inter have reportedly set their sights on Torino centre-back Bremer, while they seem to harbor no interest in the Brazilian’s teammate Armando Izzo. Per FCInterNews, the Nerazzurri hold a genuine interest in the 24-year-old defender and could launch an assault to secure his signature at the end of the season.

Though there’s still a distance to go before the summer transfer window, Inter have already started devising the strategy for the future. With three rotation options, Aleksandar Kolarov, Andrea Ranocchia, and Danilo D’Ambrosio, already in the final years of their contracts at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza, the reigning Italian champions will have to make new purchases in the summer.

Izzo has emerged as Inter’s prime defensive target, but it seems that track does not hold water, as they appear to be monitoring his fellow Torino teammate Bremer. The 29-year-old Italian has spent his entire professional career in Serie A, having featured for Napoli and Genoa before joining the Granata in 2018.

Inter’s interest in Izzo dates back to Antonio Conte’s tenure, but the things have changed in the meantime. The Nerazzurri are now keen on Bremer, who has established himself as a permanent fixture in Torino’s starting line-up over the past couple of years.

Per reports, Bremer’s agent has already approached Inter to discuss the possibility of his client’s switch to the Giuseppe Meazza. With two years left to run on his contract in Turin, the ex-Atletico MG centre-half could be available in a cut-price deal at the end of the season. That should encourage the Nerazzurri to step up their interest, given the club’s poor financial state.
