Inter in Pole Position to Sign Wantaway Juventus Ace

Paulo Dybala’s trophy-laden seven-year spell at Juventus is drawing to a close as the Argentine refused to pledge his future to Turin. According to the Daily Mail, reigning Serie A champions Inter are front-runners in the race to sign the left-footed forward on a free transfer in the summer.

After experiencing a couple of injury-plagued seasons, Dybala has decided against renewing his contract at Juventus. Despite the club’s relentless efforts to tie him down to a new deal, the 28-year-old is determined to sever ties with the record-time Italian champions.

Having already purchased luxury €900 bags for his Juventus teammates as parting gifts, Dybala is seeking a new challenge elsewhere. It looks like the Argentine’s future rests in Serie A, even though there are a couple of high-profile foreign enquiries.

Inter are growing confident of convincing the ex-Palermo star to swap allegiances in the upcoming transfer window. The Nerazzurri are on the lookout for a marquee forward amid speculation linking their headline performer Lautaro Martinez with a mega-money summer departure.

Inter CEO Beppe Marotta was a chief executive at Juventus when they brought Dybala from Palermo in 2015. He is now looking to take the Bianconeri symbol away from Turin as part of his bid to replace the outgoing Martinez.

Per multiple reports, ‘Toro’ has attracted interest from a host of top European clubs, including Atletico Madrid, who currently sit at the top of the queue. Martinez’s departure would strengthen Inter’s need for a new top-class forward, and ‘Joya’ appears to be their preferred choice.

Since Dybala would command hefty wages in the region of €7m per year, Inter are ready to cut Alexis Sanchez and Arturo Vidal loose to make room in their wage bill. The Chile internationals have found themselves low in the pecking order under Simone Inzaghi and could be on their way out of Giuseppe Meazza in the summer.
