Inter Interested in Fenerbahce Ace to Replace Skriniar

With Milan Skriniar’s transfer saga ongoing, Inter have been hot regarding plans for defensive reinforcements. Torino’s Gleison Bremer and Fiorentina’s Nikola Milenkovic have been scouted extensively over the course of time.

The next centre-back will be tasked with filling up the large void Skriniar will leave behind, as links to French champions Paris Saint-Germain grows stronger by the day.

Other than Bremer and Milenkovic, many names have been added to the mix, but it was only yesterday that reports linking Napoli with Tottenham and Everton target Min-Jae Kim emerged.

The South Korea international has succeeded in garnering attention from some of the European elite, and Inter are the latest to enter the transfer race for the Fenerbahce stopper, according to Tuttomercatoweb.

The report indicates that only an exploratory survey has been carried out by the Nerazzurri which means that he still not as concrete a target like the others. This is the first time the South Korean has been linked with Inter.

The Fenerbahce center-back enjoyed a commendable first season in Turkey after having signed in 2021 on a four-year contract from Beijing Guoan in the Chinese Super League. The Turkish giants expect nothing less than €20M for their star defender.

Is Min-Jae Kim a worthy target?

The South Korean is a strong center-back capable of manning the three-man backline that Simone Inzaghi regularly fields. However, of the three aforementioned candidates he is arguably the least experienced when it comes to elite-level football that is played in Italy. Milenkovic and Bremer have four and five years respectively in Serie A under their belt, whereas Kim only recently moved to the Turkish Super Lig. Nevertheless, his 40-cap season for Fenerbahce was full of positivity, and he could very well be a concrete target.
