Inter Interested in Roma Regret Now Shining at Sassuolo

Davide Frattesi has been one of the biggest revelations of the season. Roberto Mancini will likely call him up soon. Inter have opened contacts to try to sign him next summer, Calciomercato.com reports.

Inter followed him closely when he was at Monza as well. Their scouts attended at least ten matches, the site suggests. The Nerazzurri could overhaul their midfield at the end of the campaign. They envision Frattesi as somebody that could replicate what Nicolò Barella has been able to accomplish in the last couple of years thanks to his upside.

Inter have a thigh relationship with Sassuolo. The Emilian side could have an interest in taking back some of their youngsters, such as Martin Satriano, Lorenzo Pirola, or Cesare Casadei.

The same strategy netted the Neroverdi Frattesi in the first place bavk in the day. They got him in 2017 from Roma, alongside Riccardo Marchizza, in a swap deal for Gregoire Defrel. The midfielder was valued €5M at the time. The Giallorossi had a buyback clause for the following two summers. However, they let it lapse, and now they would simply get the 30 percent of a future sale.

Frattesi was born in Roma and declared in an interview: “As a fan, I would have liked to stay. But you metabolize everything over time, and now I am thrilled to be at Sassuolo. During my days in the Italian Capital, I looked up to Kevin Strootman, who was great before the injury, and Daniele De Rossi. I wear no.16 in his honor.”
