Inter Keep Close Tabs on Torino Defender

Inter seem undone in the transfer market as Simone Inzaghi is reportedly interested in bolstering his defence after having lured Denzel Dumfries, Zinho Vanheusden and Matteo Darmian in the summer.

Earlier in October, Tuttosport announced Inzaghi’s interest in Torino centre-back Armando Izzo and the former Lazio manager is still reportedly interested in the services of the 29-year-old defender, who has been with the Granata for three years now.

With the respective contracts Andrea Ranocchia, D’Ambrosio and Aleksandar Kolarov all expiring at the end of the current season, the Nerazzurri are keen on reinforcing their defensive options and Izzo fits well into the profile of the player the club are looking for.

He is a product of Napoli’s youth academy, known to function headstrong in a three-man defence, something Inzaghi himself is a fan of.

Izzo’s contract in Turin expires in June 2024 and Inter will have to shell out nothing less than €10m for the former Genoa man.
