Inter Keep Tabs on Manchester United Outcast as Lukaku Replacement

With Romelu Lukaku’s exit all but imminent as he nears a high-profile move to Chelsea, Inter have been left in tatters upfront – even more so given the fact that his partner in strike Lautaro Martinez is also linked with an exit.

The Nerazzurri have already begun shortlisting replacements and names such as Joaquin Correa, Edin Dazeko and Dusan Vlahovic have been heavily linked. But according to reports from England, there is a new name on the block.

Manchester United forward Anthony Martial, who has struggled for playing time under manager Ole Solskjaer, is being touted for a move to replace the Belgian marksman. According to The Mirror, Inter are keeping close tabs on Martial. They intend to seek a potential one-season loan transfer deal with an option to make it permanent with the Red Devils.

The Daily Mail also indicate that the Manchester side would rather prefer a permanent deal drawn out first rather than loan the French attacker.

Martial has been struggling with injuries in recent seasons and this is a potential turn-off for Inter, who seek a star striker to help them defend their Scudetto title.
