Inter Lining Up Double Swoop for Real Madrid Fringe Duo

Inter are reportedly weighing up a double loan swoop for Real Madrid fringe duo Luka Jovic and Dani Ceballos ahead of the summer transfer window. According to Tuttosport, the reigning Serie A champions are looking to strengthen their midfield and attacking departments with Los Blancos’ outcasts.

Inter will part with Arturo Vidal and Matias Vecino at the end of the season. Both players are in the final couple of months of their contracts at the Giuseppe Meazza, with the Nerazzurri reluctant to offer them new deals.

Despite the South Americans’ sporadic involvement, Inter can ill-afford to leave head coach Simone Inzaghi with sparse midfield options ahead of the new season. Therefore, the Italians have set their sights on Ceballos, who has been a marginal figure in Madrid this season.

After a decent two-loan spell at Arsenal, the Spanish midfielder returned to base in the summer, hoping to mount a challenge for regular first-team football at the Santiago Bernabeu. However, Ceballos has barely featured for Carlo Ancelotti’s team this season.

Keen to get his stuttering career back on track, the ex-Real Betis man seeks a way out. Inter could offer him more game time, and a loan deal looks possible.

The same goes for out-of-favour striker Jovic. The Serb has been low in the pecking order this term. Having found his first-team chances at a premium, the former Eintracht frankfurt marksman is looking to depart Madrid for a regular playing time.

Inter could sever ties with in-demand forward Lautaro Martinez in the summer. Atletico Madrid and several Premier League clubs are keeping close tabs on the Argentine. His potential departure would leave a substantial gap in the front third.

Jovic was an absolute scoring machine during his time in the Bundesliga, yet he has never found his feet in La Liga. Real Madrid are open to letting their forgotten man leave on loan, and Inter are ready to pounce.
