Hakan Calhanoglu has rallied his teammates ahead of the Derby d’Italia rivals Juventus, in what is touted to be one of the season’s most important games. With the Bianconeri lagging only a point behind the Nerazzurri, albeit having played a game more, the Turin giants will do everything in their power to disrupt Inter’s hopes of a second successive Scudetto.
Speaking after Italy’s narrow 3-2 win over Turkey in an international friendly to Sportmediaset (via FCInterNews), the ex-Milan midfielder shared his thoughts on the title race.
“We have played one game less and we know it will get tough because Milan are doing well. They are first and then there is Napoli, on Sunday we have a very important match for us,” he said
The Turkish midfielder then likened the exiting derby encounter to a ‘final’.
He commented: “For me it is a final. it will be difficult but we have to do everything for the three points.”
Inter sit with 59 points, one more than Juventus, but seven behind Milan and four behind Napoli, despite having a game in hand.
