Inter took a flier on Yann Aurel Bisseck early last summer, but he hasn’t had many chances to show his skills. The youngster is reportedly doing well in practice, but Simone Inzaghi has constantly preferred more established players.
Per Calciomercato, the Nerazzurri are considering loaning him out in January to allow him to play constantly and gain experience. They believe he could be a starting-caliber defender in a few Serie A sides.
The Inter brass will evaluate whether Bisseck will convince the coach to field him in the coming weeks before making the call. They activated a €7M release clause to sign him from Aarhus. He has made just one seven-minute appearance so far.
The 22-year-old has paid the price for the arrival of Benjamin Pavard, who shortened the rotation since he rarely rested. Moreover, the gaffer turned to Stefan De Vrij and Francesco Acerbi together when Alessandro Bastoni was spared.
Our Take on Inter and Bisseck
His football journey was peculiar but somewhat promising, and the purchase was affordable. They snared him when they weren’t expecting the André Onana windfall. Using it to bring in Benjamin Pavard, even though they could have bolstered other positions, wasn’t exactly a vote of confidence. If Juan Cuadrado stays healthy, they could ship him out temporarily without a replacement, deploying Matteo Darmian in the back.
