Inter Musing on Right Wing Reinforcement Amid Lukaku Saga

Achraf Hakimi’s departure to Paris Saint-Germain has left the Nerazzurri handicapped in the right wing back position. The pivotal role played by Hakimi during last season’s Scudetto victory needs to be replicated by his replacement, if Inter can pose a realistic chance of retaining the Serie A title.

According to latest reports from Corriere dello Sport (via Calciomercato), PSV and Dutch right back Denzel Dumfries, who has long been linked with a move to Inter, wants to make the move happen. A loan move with the obligation to buy seems like the club’s best chance of securing him, as they do not currently possess the financial requirements to make it happen.

Cagliari’s Nahitan Nandez and Arsenal’s Hector Bellerin have also been touted as possible replacement.

Romelu Lukaku’s transfer saga with Chelsea is nearing its conclusion as the Londoners prepare a bumper €130m offer for the Belgian marksman. His sale will allow the Milanese club to secure transfers for other positions, including the striker role.
