Inter Not Currently Pursuing Eintracht Frankfurt Star

Recent reports from Germany suggest that Inter are in talks to acquire Filip Kostic from Eintracht Frankfurt. His contract runs out in 2023, and he has not reached an agreement with his current club. On the other hand, the Nerazzurri signed Robin Gosens in January. Plus, they are negotiating to keep Ivan Perisic, Alfredo Pedullà reports.

The front office and the entourage of the Croatian midfielder could easily come to terms in their next meeting. At that point, La Beneamata would be set in the role with two high-profile players. Instead, if the conversations with the current starter broke off, they would seek a younger option, for instance Andrea Cambiaso, who would back up the former Atalanta star.

Rather than to Inter, Kostic could wind up at Roma or Lazio, the transfer market expert informs. Both sides pursued him last summer. The Biancocelesti, in particular, came very close to signing him. However, they ultimately could not strike a deal with Eintracht Frankfurt. They acquired Mattia Zaccagni from Verona afterward. Despite the ongoing contractual dispute, the Serbian winger has continued to fare well, notching 7 goals and 13 assists in 36 appearances so far this season.

According to Sky Sports Deutschland, Die Adler have set a €15M price tag for their ace, who is looking for €5M wages. Those figures would likely be too high for Lazio. Roma will probably assess Leonardo Spinazzola’s performances after returning from a major injury before deciding whether to make an addition on the left flank.
