Inter On Verge of Sealing the Deal for Empoli Talent

Inter met with the Empoli brass yesterday, and the two sides have almost finalized the agreement for Kristjan Asllani. A few details remain to be determined, but the midfielder is ultimately poised to join the Nerazzurri.

According to Sky, the Scudetto runner-ups will acquire the starlet in a €14M package. It will comprise the loan of one of their youngsters. The Tuscan side requested Martin Satriano, who fared well at Stade Brestois in 2022. The striker also has other suitors and will take his time to decide. In any case, such a caveat will not jeopardize the whole deal. The Azzurri have a hole to fill up front and wish to replicate the success of the Andrea Pinamonti signing.

Asllani quickly landed on the radar of Inter and Milan once he started getting regular playing time. The Empoli management and coach Aurelio Andreazzoli entrusted him once they parted ways with Samuele Ricci in January. Despite his lack of experience, the 20-year-old responded with strong performances.

Our Take on Inter Signing Asllani

The Nerazzurri were looking for a young backup for Marcelo Brozovic, and there was no better option in Serie A than the Empoli prodigy. He is in the infant stages of his career, and there is no reason why the two could not feature together too, also because the likely newcomer exhibited impressive stamina. La Beneamata is really stacking up in the midfield after relying heavily on their three starters, the others being Nicolò Barella and Hakan Calhanoglu, in the previous campaign.
