Inter Onboard Slovenia Talent Permanently to Primavera Team

Despite the ongoing UEFA European Championship, Serie A champions Inter are not delaying transfer market business, and have already confirmed their first signing of the season in attacking talent Luka Topalovic amid the international football frenzy.

Teenage Slovenia sensation Topalovic has been acquired by the Nerazzurri, as part of the agenda to boost the quality of Inter Primavera and secure the club’s future.

Inter have released an official press statement regarding the transfer of the 18-year-old from Slovenian outfit NK Domzale for an alleged fee of €1M. Having come through the youth ranks of Domzale, Topalovic will make the jump to the Inter U19 Primavera team on a permanent deal for an undisclosed duration.

The Slovenia U19 international, who functions as an attacking midfielder, is expected to increase the quality of the forward line under newly-appointed coach Andrea Zanchetta.

Topalovic made his professional debut in May 2022, aged 16 years, following impressive performances for Domzale U17. He has represented Slovenia from U16 to the U19 levels, and is yet to win a senior cap with the Slovenia national team.

The Nerazzurri’s most recent signing has 51 appearances for Domzale across the last three seasons since making his debut. As part of the Next Generation 2023, The Guardian described Topalovic as atalented, creative, and intelligent playmaker’ who is comfortable with the ball at his feet and has a deadly strike.
