Inter Plotting Another Attempt to Sign Sassuolo Starlet

The plans of Sassuolo will not deter Inter from trying to acquire Giacomo Raspadori again. The starlet looks poised to eventually join the Nerazzurri, which have been pursuing him for two years. A couple of circumstances could facilitate the deal in January, La Gazzetta dello Sport reports.

The striker is not particularly thrilled with what is going on with Alessio Dionisi at the helm. He has gotten consistent playing time after the departure of Francesco Caputo. However, Sassuolo are not at the same level they were in previous years. Moreover, he has played only two entire matches and often featured out of position.

The so-so displays of Raspadori have not caused the interest of Inter to decline. The 21-year-old has scored just once in 12 games. The Nerazzurri consider him a sure-fire prospect and are ready to make an offer in the winter to beat out the competition. Sassuolo value him €40M, but the sides could agree on a loan with a sizeable initial fee and an option to buy.

However, the prerequisite of the addition is the early departure of Alexis Sanchez. The Chilean striker has shaken off his physical problems and has been a factor in recent games. Still, Inter would not mind shedding his large salary off the books. However, the veteran is proud and stubborn and does not want to take into consideration moving to exotic destinations. On the contrary, he is clamoring for a bigger role with the Nerazzurri despite their other offensive weapons.
