Inter will reportedly lodge a last-ditch bid to lure Benjamin Pavard away from Bayern Munich after seeing their initial approach turned down by the perennial German champions. According to Tuttosport, via FCInterNews, I Nerazzurri are willing to increase their offer by €5 million to get the deal over the line.
Simone Inzaghi’s side tabled a decent-looking bid worth €25m plus another €5m in add-ons for Pavard earlier this week. However, Bayern rebuffed their opening inquiry, holding out for an eye-watering €35m asking price instead. But Inter have the player’s go-ahead.
On the evidence of his recent actions, Pavard has set his heart on moving to Giuseppe Meazza. The 27-year-old liked an Instagram post announcing a curtain-raising Serie A clash between Inter and Monza yesterday. Lautaro Martinez’s brace inspired Inzaghi’s side to a 2-0 win on day one.
