Inter Pull Out of Heated Race to Sign Julian Alvarez

Inter will not go after starlet Julian Alvarez as they are content with their current striker. Vice president Javier Zanetti announced it in an interview: “Many clubs are pursuing him, and that is logical. He had a great season, and it is not easy to be a River Plate striker and fare as well as he did it. But we are set in every role. He has a great future ahead of him, but our present will go in a different direction.”

The legendary defender talked to TycSports: “Lautaro Martinez has become a reference point for Inter and Argentina. When you sign a young player, you have to try predicting what could happen in three or four years. He had a significant growth, he matured, and it is not easy to adapt to Italian football. Top teams will always track great players, but I see him daily, and he is very happy. That makes me serene, and he is displaying it on the pitch too. He feels important here.”

The Nerazzurri signed Joaquin Correa in the summer: “I am glad he joined. We were looking for that kind of player to complete the frontline. Now it is well-assorted.”

While Inter are not in the running for Julian Alvarez, other Serie A sides such as Milan, Fiorentina and Juventus remain in the mix. However, the competition is intense, and most of the European powerhouses are eyeing him. Bayern Munich, Barcelona, Atletico Madrid, and Manchester United in particular, Argentinian newspaper Olé reports.
