Lazar Samardzic took the medicals and spent a few days in Milan but didn’t finalize his move to Inter, as some problems with his entourage arose.

Inter Putting Finishing Touches on Samardzic Signing

Lazar Samardzic will be a new Inter player. The parties have finalized their agreement, for which they had already made big strides, Wednesday afternoon. The starlet should travel to Milan for the formalities before the weekend, SportMediaset informs.

The two teams had already concurred on the conditions. The Bianconeri needed to come to terms with Giovanni Fabbian as well, whom they will get on return. He’ll earn €2M per year. Le Beneamata will be able to buy him back for €12M by 2025. He scored eight goals with Reggina last season.

Inter talked Udinese into selling Samardzic with a multi-faceted €30M package. He’ll technically join on loan with an obligation to buy. The Zebrette will receive €4M right away and €16M, plus potential add-ons, in a year.

Fabbian has been valued at €8/10M. The Nerazzurri defeated all the other top Serie A teams in the race for the prodigy. Napoli had been insistently linked to him, but they didn’t chase him this summer since Piotr Zielinski is likely staying put.

Our Take on Inter and Samardzic

They needed another midfielder to round out their corps, but they could have made do with a lot less considering Nicolò Barella, Davide Frattesi, Henrikh Mkhitaryan, and Hakan Calhanoglu. It’s a big play on talent, as they did with Kristjan Asllani last year. They’ll hope for better results, but he’ll come in readier.
