Inter Putting Together Plan to Acquire Gudmundsson

Inter have identified Albert Gudmundsson as a quality addition to their attack and are starting to ponder how to sign him. He has a substantial price tag, and they won’t shell out that much on the nail. However, that hasn’t stopped them from orchestrating expensive deals in the past, La Gazzetta dello Sport informed.

The Icelandic star will likely receive good offers from abroad but is keen on continuing in Serie A. He has been shortlisted by Tottenham and at least another Premier League club. If he could choose, he wouldn’t leave Italy.

Gudmundsson is more than open to joining Inter, which have moved more concretely than other prospective suitors, for instance Juventus. They had already touched base in January, when Fiorentina lodged a strong bid to sign him but didn’t meet Genoa’s request.

He’s estimated to be worth around €30M. The Nerazzurri plot to use the same formula, a loan with a rich initial fee and a conditioned obligation to buy, employed for Davide Frattesi and other purchases. They could also add Valentin Carboni, who has fairly similar traits, to the deal, but they don’t want to lose control of the prodigy.

Our Take on Inter and Gudmundsson

They have the advantage of a squad with very few holes, so they can spend a little in a pair of positions. While he would have transferred to the Viola if Genoa accepted, it’s noteworthy that he wasn’t vocal about it.
