Inter Ready to Battle with Juventus and Others for Scamacca

Juventus are plotting to make a run at Gianluca Scamacca in January, but Inter will not sit idly. The Bianconeri are preparing a solid offer for Sassuolo. However, it will have the same formula used in the Manuel Locatelli deal.

Instead, the Nerazzurri are eyeing the striker for next summer, which gives them an advantage, La Gazzetta dello Sport reports. The Neroverdi will soon part ways with Jeremie Boga and do not want to further modify their frontline.

Inter are preparing a more conspicuous bid for Scamacca. They value him €40/45M, which is closer to Sassuolo’s price tag. But it will not be straight cash. Their proposal will include Andrea Pinamonti, who is having a bounce-back season at Empoli. Defender Lorenzo Pirola, who is currently at Monza, could also be part of the package. The duo is worth up to €25/30M in their mind.

It obviously remains to be seen whether Sassuolo will agree to that. They have been in the same situation in the past and generally refused partial swaps, preferring just money. Inter envision Scamacca as somebody who could take over from Edin Dzeko after one or two seasons as an understudy.

The Emilian side is in no rush to sell the 22-year-old. On the contrary, they will try to further fuel the bidding war. Despite Juventus’ intentions, it is unlikely they will cash in on the forward in January. He will likely draw interest also from Milan and Fiorentina, on top of foreign sides, at the end of the season.
