Inter Ready to Meet Wage Demands of Wing Veteran Perisic

Inter veteran Ivan Perisic has the backing of the Nerazzurri management to remain at the club for an extended period of time, with his contract expiring come June. According to transfer market expert Alfredo Pedulia, the Milan giants have raised their contract offer amounting €5m net per season, from the earlier offer of €4.5m.

The new offer will amount to €6m net per season with add-ons and bonuses, meeting the player’s wage demands. After lot of contemplation, especially regarding Perisic’s age and other factors, the club have come to a decision to keep him at the club.

Club president Beppe Marotta is not thinking twice about keeping the 33-year-old at Inter, after decisive performances in the blue and black colors.

The chief executive spoke to Italian broadcaster SportMediaSet and revealed his thoughts on the contract talks.

“We still have to continue the negotiations with his representatives. The will of both parties is to continue and the hope is to conclude the talks quickly, because he’s proven to be a real professional. If he wants to, we’re willing to continue.” (via SempreInter)

The Nerazzurri hope to conclude negotiations at the earliest and not lose the highly-rated Croat on a free transfer in a few weeks time.
