Inter Release Nainggolan, Torino Join Cagliari in Pursuit

Radja Ninggolan’s contract was terminated on the basis of mutual consent between the player and the Inter, ahead of the new season. Having been released from the Nerazzurri’s clutches, the Belgian is open to a free transfer and has set his sights on continuing in Serie A. The 33-year-old midfielder has spent his entire professional playing career in Italy – representing four clubs, namely Inter, Roma, Piacenza and Cagliari.

However, Sardinia-based Cagliari are on top of his go-to list, thanks to his previous alliances with the club where he spent the last two seasons on loan from Inter and also from 2010 2014.

Il Ninja is being sought out by another adversary in Torino, who are reportedly preparing to part ways with Andrea Belotti. The versatile midfielder, who is capable of donning multiple roles in the centre-half, is also being eyed by Turkish Super Lig club Besiktas.

The Belgian made just 41 appearances for the Nerazzurri, scoring seven goals and providing three assists in the process.
