Inter Remain in Pole Position in Race to Sign Dybala

Despite the rumors about Roma and Tottenham, Inter maintain the lead for Paulo Dybala. The talks with his entourage have been early, frequent and productive. Giuseppe Marotta is a major fan of the Argentinian striker and will do his best to try onboarding him.

According to Alfredo Pedullà, the Nerazzurri are strongly considering signing La Joya even if Lautaro Martinez stayed, which looks increasingly likely. The Juventus ace would replace Alexis Sanchez on the roster. The club would give its plans to add a young center-forward. Their star has had some of his best showings next to Joaquin Correa rather than alongside Edin Dzeko. Therefore, their attack would be set with no further additions.

Dybala would join Inter with similar wages as the Chilean veteran, €7M per year plus add-ons. The reports about him telling Juventus fans that he would not join the Nerazzurri during the recent farewell game have quickly been disproven. Instead, he is on the verge of buying an apartment in Milan, near his potential new team’s headquarters, Affari Italiani informs. Although, it could be just a real estate investment rather than a transfer market hint.

Inter plan to part ways with Sanchez regardless of the outcome of their chase of Dybala. The Nerazzurri could rescind his contract with a €3M severance package, Corriere della Sera informs. The 33-year-old has some suitors in Spain. Barcelona timidly tried to reunite with him in January. However, they quickly moved on as they purchased Ferran Torres from Manchester City instead, Calciomercato informs.
