Inter Reportedly Tracking Prolific Feyenoord Forward

Inter are among the many sides eyeing Santiago Gimenez, who’s filling his boots with Feyenoord, but signing him will be complicated, considering the competition and his rapidly increasing price tag. Lazio tried to acquire him last summer before onboarding Taty Castellanos, but his team asked for €25M, La Repubblica informs.

Real Madrid, Borussia Dortmund, and Tottenham are rumored to be the other teams closely following the marksman. He has bagged 12 goals in 8 matches so far this season.

Inter might make an attempt for Gimenez in January, but his valuation is already €50M. It might even grow if he keeps up his production for the rest of the season. The Nerazzurri have been monitoring his growth in recent campaigns.

Feyenoord seem to have already blocked any talk concerning the winter window, postponing his departure to the summer. La Beneamata has been in touch with his entourage, which is open to the destination. The brass will try to gain the pole position, but meeting the demands will be difficult.

Our Take on Inter and Gimenez

While there’s no doubt concerning his talent, he might be too pricey for them already, plus, he’s quite similar to Lautaro Martinez. They might indeed invest at the position down the line if Marko Arnautovic or Alexis Sanchez don’t work out and stay for just one year, but they’ll probably target somebody with different traits.
