Inter Reportedly Unlikely to Offer Cuadrado a New Deal

Inter have already decided to move on from a few players on expiring contracts, Alexis Sanchez, Stefano Sensi, and Davy Klaassen, and they are leaning in that direction for Juan Cuadrado as well, but it’s not set in stone yet, Tuttomercatoweb informed.

Simone Inzaghi is a fan and would have deployed him regularly if he hadn’t missed four months due to an Achilles injury, which bothered him for a while before he had surgery to fix it. The coach turned to him to provide a spark versus Sassuolo in the last round.

Despite that, Cuadrado is more likely to leave Inter than to stay. He inked a seasonal contract last summer. He’d like to remain in Europe if he departed. His agent Alessandro Lucci bought Edin Dzeko to Fenerbahce. It could be a solution for him as well, but there’s nothing concrete at the moment.

Instead, El Panita would have plenty of options in Mexico, Brazil, and Argentina if he moved back to South America to finish his career.

Our Take on Inter and Cuadrado

He was on his last legs in his final Juventus months and wasn’t much better this campaign, although perhaps the injury limited him more than it was known. Keeping and trusting him and Tajon Buchanan to potentially replace Denzel Dumfries would be the cheapest solution, and they’d be able to use the money in other roles that way. Though, they seem to like Matteo Darmian more as a no.2 than as the full-time starter on the right wing.
