Earlier in the week, an Inter scout attended Anderlecht play Antwerp in the Jupiler Pro League to watch one particular player – Zeno Debast. Inter are aware that they may have to part ways with Milan Skriniar, as early as on transfer deadline day i.e. tomorrow, following the announcement of his signing with Paris Saint-Germain.
The Nerazzurri management had long anticipated this day to arrive, and have already shortlisted replacements. As per Belgian news outlet Het Nieuwsblad (via FCInterNews), Lotto Park in Anderlecht was graced with the presence of an Inter representative to watch Debast, who is touted to be the future of the country’s defense.

19-year-old Debast put in a positive performance against Royal Antwerp in the goalless draw.
He broke out into the first-team squad a couple of seasons ago, and has since witnessed a steady growth, most recently making his Belgium national team debut in September 2022. Debast was also part of the 2022 FIFA World Cup squad but didn’t appear on the pitch even once.
His contract with Anderlecht expires in the summer of 2025, and Inter are pondering to splash €8M for his services.
