Inter have been relentless in shortlisting defensive reinforcements, going as far as hunting down Primavera-fit names, perhaps in light of the saga surrounding Stefan De Vrij and Milan Skriniar.
As per Italian transfer market expert Alfredo Pedulla of Sportitalia, the Nerazzurri have eyed Sheriff Kassama – a 2004-born defender currently starring for Monza Primavera. The 18-year-old has been under the watchful eye of Inter scouts, who have been impressed by his performances in the Campionato Primavera 2 this campaign.
The Inter management has reportedly already made the initial proposal to the Biancorossi to evaluate a potential transfer for Kassama. The youngster is versatile enough to function in separate roles in the backline, either as a center-back – his natural position – or even as a right-back.
Kassama joined Monza’s youth system in the summer of 2021, and could quickly find himself in the top-tier of Italian football. However, he is bound to taste some time with the Inter Primavera m before making the jump.
